Provision Your First Workspace

Sign up for the Clinia Console, create an organization and a sandbox workspace, and get a credential your application can call the Context Engine with.

In this tutorial you create a Clinia account, an organization, a sandbox workspace and a credential, which together give your application everything it needs to call the Context Engine API. It takes about five minutes.

Prerequisites

  • An email address or a Google account.
  • A password manager or another safe place to store a client secret.

Steps

Create an account

Open the sign-up page of the Clinia Console at console.clinia.cloud. Select Sign up with Google, or fill in your full name, email and password, tick the acknowledgment of the Acceptable Use and Privacy Policy, and select Create account.

The Console takes you to the Create your organization page.

Create your organization

Enter an Organization name. The Console fills in the URL slug from the name. You can edit the slug before you continue. Select Create organization.

The Console opens your organization's Home page, where a setup card shows Step 1 of 3. You are the owner of the new organization, so you can do the next two steps yourself.

Create a workspace

On the setup card, select Create workspace. Enter a Name and keep the Sandbox type, which is the only type available to organizations on a Free plan. Select Create workspace.

The workspace's Workspace ID and Workspace URL are shown on its page, which you reach from Workspaces in the sidebar.

Create a credential

On the setup card, select Create credentials. Enter a Name for the credential, such as my-agent. The default Access level is Read & Write. Select Create credential.

The Credential created dialog shows the Client ID and the Client secret. Copy both values and store them before you select Done, because the secret is only showed once. Authentication and credentials explains access levels and how your application can exchange the credential for an access token.

The setup card now shows Step 3 of 3, with a snippet that runs the Studio against your new workspace. Your workspace URL and client ID are already filled in. You can paste the client secret yourself.
